ANZAC Day Services

Wreaths laid at the memorial stone in the memorial garden as part of the Beaconsfield State School ANZAC Day service.

Beaconsfield State School students and staff commemorated ANZAC Day by participating in the Mackay community march and service on Thursday 25th April. This was followed by the school service held the following day on Friday 26th April. The school community was well represented with good numbers of students and staff attending the Mackay City ANZAC Parade. Principal Brendan Smith and the school leaders participated in the official service at the conclusion of the march, with the students laying the school wreath on the cenotaph.

The following day Beaconsfield State School held their annual ANZAC Day assembly which was conducted by the school leaders. A very moving ceremony was held which included class representatives from every class sharing what ANZAC Day meant to them. Our students are to be commended on conducting a very respectful an heart-warming tribute to those service men and women who have served our country so well over the years, protecting the way of life that we enjoy in Australia. Lest We Forget.
