Choral Festival

Senior Choir Members who represented Beaconsfield State School in the 2015 KMEIA Choral Festival alongside 500 students.
Beaconsfield State School senior choir students participated in the recent KMEIA Choral Festival.  After weeks of lunchtime rehearsals, students were given the opportunity to work with students from other schools in the region under the guidance of the talented guest conductor Paul Jarman, an Australian composer and performer. On Monday, 23rd March, the students performed at the MECC in a choir of approximately 200 students to sing a number of songs (composed by Paul Jarman), then joined with another choir to form a massed choir of 500 voices!  There were so many students that there wasn’t enough room to fit them all on the stage! Such beautiful sounds were created that the audience sat silently in awe of the talent of the students in our region. The Festival also gave our students the opportunity to be part of a large choir, to experience the amazing harmonies that can be created with so many voices and to join with other committed students to enjoy the beauty of music. Thank you to our committed students: Courtney, Ciana, Shelby, Emily, Georgi, Hannah, Mikynlee, Summer, Lara and Korrin.
