Principal Smith leaves Beaconsfield to help others

Principal Smith in happier times at Beaconsfield, as part of "Lock up your Boss" day.

Letter from Mr Smith - Tuesday 3rd February 2015

Dear Parents,

An unexpected and very sudden opportunity has arisen for me as a Principal to share my leadership abilities with other schools and Principals in the region. This will mean that from next week I will have a change of role to Principal Supervisor Coach based at Mackay District Office, full time. My last official day as Principal of Beaconsfield in 2015 will be tomorrow, as I leave for training and meetings in Brisbane Thursday and Friday with an official start to my new position on Monday.
I am very proud of our school and what our staff and students have been able to achieve during the last two years. I have been so fortunate to get to know many of our parents and families and will always appreciate how welcoming and supportive you have been. While I am saddened to be leaving so suddenly I will always take great pride from the fact that I was the Principal of Beaconsfield State School from 2013-2015.
Best wishes,
Mr Brendan Smith
