Yr 4/5 Mungalli Falls Camp

15/09/2014
Beaconsfield campers exploring the Crystal Caves as part of an underground tour.

Day 1

The Yr 4/5 camping group got away from Beaconsfield SS last night just after 11pm, an excited group of students and staff embarking on their bus trip north. The bus trip went well, with a short break at Tully for sunrise at 6am and then onto camp, arriving at Mungalli Falls for breakfast at 8am. The group are now settling into their dormitories and preparing for a big day ahead!

Day 2

We all slept so much better last night in a real bed, even though Mrs Storey was snoring!!! The meals are great especially after all the adventure challenges from yesterday's low ropes course and rainforest walks. Visiting Lake Eacham today, then onto Herberton Historic Village and finishing with a night time rainforest walk this evening. Everything is going great!!!

Day 3

"Crystal Caves" were amazing, we even got to wear hard hats on our underground tour! "Herberton Historic Village" was a step back in time. We really enjoyed the costumes and the old school with the, "cane".

Obstacle course, boomerang throwing as well as the Mamu Rainforest Canopy walk will keep us all busy today. We are all very excited! Due home late tonight.
