NAPLAN is a point-in-time test which covers Reading, Writing, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, and Numeracy.
The data retrieved from the test results is used to enhance the curriculum at Beaconsfield State School and to further enhance the literacy and numeracy skills of our children.
Our results are showing a steady improvement over time and, in most cases, are on par with state and/or national average scores. The improvements are directly attributed to the extensive teaching-learning process delivered by our dedicated teaching staff.
It is important to remember that NAPLAN signifies only 13 hours of testing in 13 years of schooling and that schools use a far wider range of data collection to determine student performance.
